Where to find a pistol in System Shock
As you progress through Citadel Station, you'll find increasingly tough enemies and better weapons. Starting the game with just a lead pipe you may feel a desperate need to increase your arsenal from the get-go.
Luckily there is a pistol available relatively early in the game, but it is located in a side door that may be easily missed.
To get the gun, follow the tutorial through the medical station, Healing Suite. As soon as you get the passcode for the door (from the crouch space on the other side) you will emerge into a room and receive an automatic greeting message from the station's AI, SHODAN.
From here, continue through the door to the right (directly opposite the junction box), to do so pull the lever to the right side of the door to open it.
You'll emerge into a large room with several adjoining doors, you'll also likely encounter one or two enemies depending on your difficulty settings.
Dispatch of the enemies and continue straight down the room next to the dead crewmate and press the lit panel on the right-side door. This will open to a small storage room.
The pistol is located in the center of the room next to the dead body. Make sure you defeat the enemy in this room and pick up the ammo and Sight Vision Enhancement next to the table to the right of the body.
