Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge crossplay is a topic that has been discussed since the announcement of the game. This throwback beat-em-up boasts up to six-player co-op, but gathering such a group in one place or even on one platform can be a challenge. Does the game support crossplay, allowing friends on different platforms to team up? Here is everything there is to know about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder’s Revenge crossplay.

The short answer is yes, TMNT Shredder’s Revenge does have crossplay support. However, it is not as unilateral as you might hope. Currently, crossplay is supported between the PC and Xbox versions of the game. This makes sense considering the game is on Game Pass both for the console and PC, but players who bought the game on another PC platform needn’t worry.

If you own the game on Steam, you can still play with friends using the PC Game Pass version, or on Xbox. However, when signing in online you will be required to connect to an Epic Games account, despite the game not being available on the Epic Games Store.

Provided you connect an account, you should be able to play with up to five friends across PC and Xbox without an issue. Unfortunately, there is no cross-progression between these platforms, so if you decide to change from Xbox to PC or vice versa, you will have to start over from the beginning.

The game is also available on PS4 and Nintendo Switch, but neither of these platforms support crossplay. This may change with future updates but currently, these systems are not able to connect with players on other consoles. They do still have online play, just limited to their own platforms.

Players on Nintendo Switch can play up to the full six-player co-op, but PlayStation players are limited to four players. There is no PS5 version of the game, but you can still play it thanks to backwards compatibility.

That is everything there is to know about the current state of crossplay in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge. For more on the game, check out our how to unlock Casey Jones in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge.
