THE FINALS has recently been released, and if you’re on a different platform to your pals, you'll want to know if it has crossplay or cross-platform progression - as it's just one of the many questions that arise when a new game releases, ranging from the best weapons to the different maps.
Below, we'll tackle anything you need to know about whether or not the game supports it, or if you're going to find yourself locked onto the platform you first played on.
Does THE FINALS have crossplay?
The good news is that THE FINALS does support crossplay between PC and current-gen consoles.
You don’t even need to switch it on either, as when you first fire up the game it's on by default. If you do want to switch it off for any reason, you can do so in the settings:
- Go to game settings as shown in the image above
- Go to the 'Gameplay' section
- Scroll down to Crossplay (which will be turned on)
- Switch it off and save
Is there cross-platform progression?
Fortunately, THE FINALS also has cross-platform progression for players who have linked their Embark accounts. This is very simple to do, as the moment you fire up the game, it will ask you to login or set up an Embark account.
Anyone who does this will see their progress on the account regardless of platform and it will include any items purchased.
