With the release of THE FINALS now here, some players will want to know if they can practice their skills or have some fun with friends in private matches.

Private matches are always an excellent way to plan tactics, learn maps and mechanics, or just familiarise yourself with a multiplayer game. Considering THE FINALS has a pretty high skill ceiling, and you'll need to learn things like the best builds or how to deal with all random events, it's the type of game where private lobbies will come in handy.

Are private matches in THE FINALS?

There is no way to play private matches in THE FINALS currently, so if you're looking to learn a map and its intricacies without the pressure of opponents, you're out of luck.

If you just want to practice the game solo, there is the Practice Range you can train on, or you can do the tutorial again, though none of these actually give you free rein of a multiplayer map.

Will there be private matches in THE FINALS?

While there are no private matches currently, in an interview with MP1ST, THE FINALS Creative Director Gustav Tilleby confirmed that the team at Embark has plans to introduce private matches at some point in the future.

When asked when private matches can be expected, Tilleby responded, "When exactly it will come, I can't really answer right now." At least we know it's in the cards for the future.

That's all you need to know about whether you can make private matches in THE FINALS. We'll make sure to update this guide once private matches are added to the game.
