Despite struggling with a dwindling player count, THE FINALS is storming ahead with Season 3, which promises to take players back to 16th Century Japan thanks to a brand new map.

It’s not just a new map to be getting excited about, though. All new weapons, plus a brand new mode are also arriving with Season 3. Here’s what you need to know about all of that, plus when the new Season is set to kick off.

When does THE FINALS Season 3 start?

Season 3 of THE FINALS is set to start on June 13, 2024. That’s just a couple of days away at the time of writing.

The servers for the game usually dip in the afternoon UK time, so you can likely expect to be hopping into servers from around 6 PM BST.

New Map, Mode, and Weapons for THE FINALS Season 3

The new map in question for Season 3 of THE FINALS is called Kyoto 1568, and takes players back in time to a traditional Japanese temple setting. While the surroundings may look historical, there are still plenty of futuristic tweaks to keep up to speed with the fast-paced gameplay. Ziplines are dotted around regularly, with flashes of neon colour on some of the walls.

There’s also a brand new mode coming in Season 3, in the form of Ranked Terminal Attack. This will see players competing as normal, but with a key twist - no revives and no healing. Given how fast-paced THE FINALS can be, I’m excited to see how this one plays out in public matches.

As for new weapons, we spotted a traditional bow and arrow, plus a heavy build dual-wielding katanas at certain points in the trailer. We’re not sure if new guns are being added for this season, but we’ll surely find out soon enough.
