- Spirit Glimmers need to be banked mid-run in order to use them back at Oasis
- They can then be used to purchase new weapons, tools, and medallions
Spirit Glimmers are one of the key resources that you'll find in The Rogue Prince of Persia - but figuring out how to get more and safely send them back to Oasis can be a chore.
Spending these wisely can net you some fantastic new weapons and tools, but you'll need to save up a fair amount to get started as even the introductory options in-game will set you back.
How to get more Spirit Glimmers
Spirit Glimmers can be earned by defeating enemies or by picking up drops found throughout any of the locations. Not every enemy you kill will get you Spirit Glimmers, but you'll find your total building quite quickly as you move through each area.
Critically, Spirit Glimmers need to be 'banked' at one of the purple fire braziers in order to be sent back to Oasis, as otherwise they will be lost completely upon death. From my experience it seems like there's only one brazier per area, and they are easily missed if you don't take the correct path - so make sure to always keep your eyes peeled.
You can see your two Spirit Glimmer counters in the top right corner of the screen, with the left value being the number that you currently have during your run, and the right value being the amount that you have banked back at Oasis.
Where to spend Spirit Glimmers
You'll be able to spend Spirit Glimmers at Sukhra's blacksmith shop and Paachi's medallion shop. Using both of these effectively will allow you to increase your chances of survival, and hopefully let you reach the next area with ease!
Sukhra's shop will let you purchase new weapons and tools, with additional ones earned as you explore and open chests. On the flip side, Paachi gives you a bunch of new medallions to add to the pool, which can come in handy when creating your ideal build.
One key thing to consider before you spend your hard-earned Spirit Glimmers is that unlocking an item in either shop doesn't give it to you straight away, and instead only adds it to the loot pool during your subsequent runs. I made the mistake of thinking a new weapon I'd bought would be instantly equipped, but it's still definitely worth doing nonetheless.
