How To Use The Tactical Map In Total War: Warhammer 3
For an incredibly useful tool, you would think a tutorial would be introduced nice and early for the tactical map. However, there is no explicit moment where Total War: Warhammer 3 tells you about this tactical map or how to use it.
It can only be accessed once you’re in a manual battle. You can use it before the war has started and you’re in the planning phase or when the action is underway.
To view the tactical map, zoom out of the battlefield using the scroll wheel on your mouse. Once you reach the height limit for the camera you’ll notice a message pop up ad the top of the screen. It should read ‘keep scrolling to view the tactical map’.
Well, do as it says and keep scrolling and a little progress bar will fill up and you’ll be taken away to the incredibly useful tactical map!
To return to the 3D battlefield view, it’s simply a case of zooming into the tactical map using the scroll wheel. A similar message will pop up on screen asking if you want to return to the battlefield view. Full up the bar and you’re back to the 3D view. It really is as easy as that!
