Tower of Fantasy Merit Points: How To Earn
The best way to earn Merit points, advance your level and unlock the battle pass rewards is by completing daily and weekly challenges. These only unlock, however, upon completing chapter one of the main story and advancing onto chapter two. Likewise, the battle pass menu is only unlocked after completing the 'Unexpected Fall' questlines of chapter one.
Once you complete the fighting tournament and return to Franz at the Omni Tower, the 'Adventure' menu will appear (press ALT if on PC to click on the crossed swords symbol at the top right of the screen). The Adventure menu allows you access to the weekly missions, Ruins, and Daily Bounties you'll need to complete for Merit points.
Competing weekly tasks will earn you activity points, which will then yield rewards including Merit Points, to go towards the battle pass reward counter. Weekly tasks tend to involve defeating enemies and other world exploration and item gathering.
In short, do the following steps:
- Unlock the Adventure menu
- Complete weekly tasks to earn adventure points
- Cash in adventure points for Merit Points
- Use Merit Points to progress through the battle pass

Tower of Fantasy Merit Levels: How To Buy
Buy Tanium (click on the shop icon on the top right, select the 'Purchase Rewards' tab), you can then exchange Tanium for Dark Crystals. (Click the plus sign on the Dark Crystals tab on the currency bar at the top of the shop page).
Dark Crystals are used to either purchase Merit levels instantly, or for gacha pulls and weapon upgrades. Although Dark Crystals can be found through organic gameplay, they are a rarer currency, especially later in the game so be wary of this if you're a free-to-play player wishing to advance Merit levels.
