Can Trubbish be shiny in Pokemon GO?
Can you find a shiny Trubbish in Pokemon GO? Check out this guide to find out how to find Trubbish in Pokemon GO and whether you can get its shiny form!
Highlights
- Trubbish spawns randomly in the wild or during events
- It may also have boosted spawn rates in certain events, such as Sustainability Week or when it's cloudy due to its typing
Trubbish is one of the best Pokemon in the game in my personal opinion as they're a cute trash bag (I can relate), and it's also one of many 'mon out there with a shiny form.
With a Spotlight Hour event for them just having taken place in April, you'll need to know what to do in order to get it (or catch a shiny one) now that's over - so here's a full breakdown of all the information you'll need.
How to get a shiny Trubbish
To find a shiny Trubbish, you’ll need to get a bit lucky, as you can find one randomly in the wild or through events.
- There’s no one way to guarantee one will show up, so you might have to search for a while or wait for events which feature Trubbish as one of the main Pokemon - like the most recent Spotlight Hour
Certain events in Pokemon GO may have an increased shiny spawn rate for Trubbish, such as the recent Sustainability Week event, and playing during times will give you a better chance of finding a shiny form. You’ll also be able to hatch eggs and have a slightly higher chance of finding a shiny if the event features special egg Pokemon.
How to get Trubbish (& its evolution, Garbodor)
Trubbish is a regular spawn in Pokemon GO so you can find this poisonous trash bag in the wild like any other wild Pokemon. It’s a Poison-type, so it’s a bit more likely to appear when it’s cloudy as that weather type boosts the spawns of Poison-type Pokemon.
It may also have boosted spawn rates in certain events, such as the previously mentioned Sustainability Week that takes place at the end of April around Earth Day. Trubbish may appear in the wild more often during these events, or appear as a Field Research reward.
To evolve it into Garbodor you’ll need 50 Trubbish Candy. Luckily, Trubbish isn’t a super rare Pokemon so eventually, you should be able to come across some out in the wild - good luck out there, Trainer!
