How To Farm V Rising Fish Oil
There are a couple of methods of farming the Fish Oil resource, but it largely depends on which point in the game you've come to. Early on, Fish Oil is pretty much useless, but you will likely find some during your travels. Fish Oil starts to become more commonplace after you've reached the Dunley Farmlands region of the world map, which is where you can begin to farm the resource.
It will take patience and consistent play, but wandering around the Dunley Farmlands and destroying the crates found inside villages will earn you some. As you progress further into this area, enemies will also start to drop Fish Oil, so once you get to a certain point, you can start looping around the whole area and farm the resource from crates and enemies. The advantage of this method is that it also allows you to farm other materials you may need at the same time, or take on bosses like Octavian, who rewards you with the V Rising Dark Silver Ingots recipe.
The other method for acquiring lots of Fish Oil is fishing. If you head to your workbench with eight Planks, four V Rising Coarse Thread, and four Copper Ingots, you will be able to craft a Fishing Pole. Once it's equipped, head to any fishing spots in the game; they are noted by bubbles rising from the water, and both the Farbane Woods and Dunley Farmlands contain tonnes of these locations.
After you’re happy with the amount of fish you have collected, you can head back to your castle and use The Devourer. If you don't have one of these, The Devourer a structure that you can interact with to recycle items into crafting components. You will need to defeat Lidia the Chaos Archer in the Farbane Woods to get the recipe for it, and it requires 12 Planks and six Copper Ingots to build.
Dropping your fish into The Devourer will net you a tonne of Fish Oil, Fish Bones, and Fish Scales, so continue this method until you have the amount of oil that you need.
Those are our two methods for how to farm V Rising Fish Oil, and now you know what it's useful for and how to get lots of it with ease.
