In July, Riot made a change to the VALORANT competitive map rotation, restricting it to just seven of the game's maps going forward. Here are all the maps in the pool.

Here are the seven that are currently in the competitive map pool:
- Abyss
- Ascent
- Bind
- Haven
- Icebox
- Lotus
- Sunset
Riot has confirmed that in patch 9.08 (which should be in a couple of months as of writing this), both Icebox and Lotus will be swapped out for Pearl and Split.
There are 11 maps in total in VALORANT, with Breeze and Fracture being the missing two, and we don't know when they'll be added back to the map pool. Breeze was removed in the previous rotation change, while Fracture has been left out since August 2023.
The pool for the competitive playlist has been restricted to a number of just seven maps since 2022, with Lead Map Designer Joe Lansford calling it the "sweet spot that offers both variety and mastery".
He also explained it as a specific choice for the "onboarding experience" as players don't need to spend ages "learning new angles, lineups, and strategies."
