VALORANT is going on four years since it released to the world, but regardless of whether you're a new or returning player, you'll want to learn about the total game size, as it's become a lot bigger with the release of new skins, maps, and Agents.

Games seem like they're becoming larger all the time, especially for ongoing multiplayer games that feature cosmetic items aplenty. VALORANT is one of these examples, meaning you'll have quite a download ahead of you if you plan on playing the game

What's the current game size?

Currently, the install size for VALORANT sits at roughly 28.4 GB as of 2024. This isn't a massive amount for a modern video game, but it is larger than the initial size on release. This doesn't include the installer or Vanguard anti-cheat, which will add another 265 MB of files, however.

Updates for the game frequently reach over a gigabyte when being installed, but they don't necessarily add on top of the current game size, with some files being replaced instead of piled on top.

VALORANT minimum & recommended system requirements

It's likely that the majority of PC and laptop users will have enough space for the game, but it's worth checking the system requirements too. These are:

Minimum Requirements

  • OS - Windows 7 (64-bit)
  • RAM - 4 GB
  • VRAM - 1GB
  • CPU - AMD Athlon 200 GE / Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
  • GPU - Intel HD 4000 / Radeon R5200

Recommended Requirements

  • OS - Windows 10 (64-bit)
  • RAM - 4 GB
  • VRAM - 1GB
  • CPU - AMD Ryzen 3 1200 / Intel i-34150
  • GPU - GeForce GT 730 / Radeon R7240

If you meet the above specifications, you can now go and download VALORANT - assuming you have the correct storage space, that is!
