VALORANT update 9.00 patch notes include Iso & console changes

We've got the latest changes arriving in the 9.00 update in VALORANT, with patch notes that include adjustments to Iso and the new console version of the game.

Episode 9 Act 1 is finally here in VALORANT, and the shift brings with it a bunch of new and exciting changes. We've got all of the adjustments right here too, letting you stay up-to-date with shifts to Agents like Iso and the console version of the game.

Agent updates

  • Added new conversation lines between Agents that include: Phoenix, Harbor, Brimstone, Yoru, Raze, Iso, Sage, Neon, Gekko, Skye, Deadlock, Omen, Kayo, Reyna

Iso

(PC only)

  • Double Tap (E):
    • Reduced duration from 20 seconds to 12 seconds
      • Signature kill reset removed

Sova

(Console only)

  • Owl Drone HP now 100, increased from 60

Competitive updates

PC

  • Abyss added to the Ranked map pool

Console

  • Competitive mode has arrived on Console
  • Competitive map pool starts with: Abyss, Ascent, Bind, Haven, Sunset

Gameplay systems updates

Console

  • Added new "Controls Preset" selection screen when you first boot-up prior to the tutorial:
    • This lets you choose between VALORANT-specific controls or a more familiar set of traditional FPS controls
  • Enhanced sound transitions between Focus and ADS to better reflect the current aim state
  • Crosshair presets have been update to better reflect usable crosshair variety
  • Crouch is now a Hold action instead of a Toggle action
  • Added holistic Aim Sensitivity slider
  • Added the ability to enter a precision mode in control settings to adjust sensitivity sliders by 0.1 increments

Player behaviour updates

PC

  • People who repeatedly engage in poor text chat behaviour will see increased penalties

Social updates

PC

  • You can now paste a full Riot ID into the field and it'll automatically split the data into Riot ID and Tagline

Console

  • Updated communications menu so that it's easier to manage team and party voice chat on the fly
  • You can now tailor your mic behaviour and voice settings in the Voice Chat section of the Settings page

Agents

  • [Console only]
    • Fixed an issue with Jett's Tailwind that was reducing the dash length

Competitive systems

  • [Console only]
    • Fixed an issue in Team Deathmatch where you would incorrectly see DRAW as a final result in the End of Game screens
    • Added specific scoreboard screens for Team Deathmatch and Deathmatch

Gameplay systems

  • Fixed a particle issue when using ADS on the Level 3 and 4 Mystbloom collection
  • Fixed an issue when exiting Cypher's Spycam that caused Cypher's hands to stutter for Spectators
  • [Console only]
    • Fixed an issue where both Focus and ADS sounds would play during tranditions
    • Fixed Leave Game menu persisting through AFK idling
    • Fixed animation bug with Leave Game Menu

Maps

  • ABYSS
    • Fixed several unintended boost positions
    • Fixed bugs allowing players to get under the map
    • A Site cover should now properly appear in Omen and Astra smoke targeting world
    • Fixed an Omen exploit allowing him to get between the spawn barriers

Social

  • [Console only]
    • Fixed an issue where the friends list would sometimes display inaccurate platform information for friends
