VALORANT has released its 2.0 update patch, where they introduced a brand-new agent named Yoru, along with some balance changes in existing agents and a few weapon updates. Yoru is a Japanese native who rips holes straight through reality to infiltrate enemy lines while remaining unseen. Using deception and aggression in equal measure, he gets the drop on each target before they know where to look.
VALORANT Yoru's abilities
Yoru falls under the category of duelists who have damaging or supportive skills, along with high-mobility, damage-out, or self-sustainability that keeps them alive for longer to take down opponents. Here is the list of abilities Yoru possess:
- Q - Blindside: Equip to rip an unstable dimensional fragment from reality. Fire to throw the fragment, activating a flash that winds up once it collides with a hard surface in the world.
- E - Gatecrash: Equip to harness a rift tether Fire to send the tether out moving forward ALT Fire to place a tether in place Activate to teleport to the tether's location.
- C - Fakeout: Equip an echo that mimics footsteps when activated Fire to activate and send the echo forward ALT Fire to place an echo in place USE the inactive echo to send it forward.

VALORANT Yoru guide
Blindside
Players can have two charges of Blindside per round, each costing 200 credits.
- Blindside will pop up only when it bounces off after hitting the surface of the map. So, make sure that you throw the fragment right.
- Use different angles and timings to throw the fragment so that the opponents don't get time to react while you can use it to come out off the smoke.
Gatecrash
Gatecrash is the signature ability of Yoru and is available to use for free.
- You can use this ability to teleport behind the enemy and secure your kill.
- Place a tether at a safer place to get out of sticky situations by teleporting to its location.
- You can place it near your team players and teleport to give them an extra hand against the opponents.
Fakeout
A player can have two charges of Fakeout per round, each costing 100 credits.
- Players can aim the ability towards a fake direction at the beginning of the round so that the opponents start rotating, and you can catch them from behind to secure your kills.
- You can also use Fakeout to trigger opponents' abilities by faking your presence at a specific location to make them run out of ability charges.
Dimensional Drift
A player requires seven points to charge the Dimensional Drift.
- You can get to know opponents' positions through Dimensional Drift and exit the drift at a safer location.
- You can combine this ability with Gateway if you find your enemy in a vulnerable position through drift by teleporting behind him to secure a kill.
