You may want to know the Victoria 3 system requirements before you dive in and take control of a random nation, so you can steward it through the Industrial Revolution. Victoria 3 is the latest grand strategy experience from Paradox, where players are given control of a nation and through management of the economy, government, and diplomatic relations, you can control its destiny. As a game that simulates a map of the whole world and has a lot of ongoing systems behind the scenes, you will need to make sure you can run it. So take a look at the Victoria 3 system requirements.

The minimum and recommended requirements for Victoria 3 aren't particularly advanced, and there is a range of hardware that the game will run just fine on. Graphically, there isn't a lot to render in Victoria 3, aside from the world map and some sparse details when you zoom further in. It's really the CPU and RAM that will be handling the majority of the experience, as the meat of the game comes from the simulations happening in the background as all the other nations make choices that affect the game. Below are the official Victoria 3 system requirements:

Minimum System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i3-3250 or AMD FX 8370
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 (2GB) or AMD R7 370 or Intel HD Graphics 630 or AMD Radeon Vega 8
  • Storage: 10 GB

Recommended System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-6600K or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 (6GB) or AMD RX 590 (8GB)
  • Storage: 10 GB

Most of the minimum hardware is roughly ten years old at this point, so as long as you have built your PC within the last decade, you should be fine to play Victoria 3. However, you will likely run into periods of slowdown and stuttering with lower-end hardware. If you are closer to the recommended specs, the game should be fine during even the most tasking periods. It's worth noting that Paradox grand strategy games tend to perform a little worse as the years tick on and the game simulates more and more, so don't be too worried if you notice slower performance later on.

That's all for our rundown of the Victoria 3 system requirements, and now you know what the minimum and recommended hardware is for running the game.
