How to earn SR & rank up in Warzone 2 Ranked Play
Learn the ins and outs of earning SR and ranking up in Warzone 2 Ranked Play.
To climb the leaderboard and showcase your talents to the world, you must know how to earn SR and rank up in Warzone 2 Ranked Play. The better you understand the ranking system in Warzone 2, the easier it'll be to pass your competition. Here's our rundown of earning SR and ranking up in Warzone 2
How to earn SR in Ranked Play
The amount of SR you get after Ranked Play matches in Warzone 2 is determined by a combination of the following metrics:
- Placement
- Kills
- Assists
- Kills achieved by your teammates
Furthermore, the SR you earn for Kills, Assists, and Squad Kills is amplified depending on the number of squads remaining in the game, as follows:
- 21 or more Squads remaining
- Five SR per Elimination/Assist and two SR per Squadmate Elimination
- 3 to 20 Squads remaining
- Seven SR per Elimination/Assist and three SR per Squadmate Elimination
- One to three Squads remaining
- 15 SR per Elimination/Assist, seven SR per Squadmate Elimination
To start up a Ranked Play match in Warzone 2, you will need to pay a Deployment Fee of SR. The higher your Skill Division and Tier, the more expensive the Deployment Fee. With that, efficiently earning SR becomes more important the further you climb in Ranked Play.
The developers know that losing SR to things outside of your control can be frustrating, and that's why popular features from MW2 Ranked Play, such as SR Forgiveness, Demotion Protection, Squad Backout, Match Cancelling, and Suspensions, are also included in Warzone 2 Ranked Play.
How to rank up in Ranked Play
While SR contributes to your Skill Division, Rank is an entirely separate system. To rank up, you must earn Stars.
Stars are awarded based on placement. You can earn up to three Stars in a match, with one Star for finishing in the top 25, another for finishing in the top 10, and a third Star for coming in first place.
There are a bunch of Warzone 2 Ranked Play rewards you can earn for ranking up in Ranked Play, from Blueprints to Operator Skins. At the end of each season, you will receive rewards based on your Skill Division and how much SR you accumulated throughout the season.
Focus on maximizing your SR and Star gains by outlasting other squads and securing kills and assists.
