Can You Play Split-Screen On Warzone 2?
The unfortunate answer is no. You cannot play split-screen on Warzone 2. Despite the pop-up in the in-game menu that reads, "add a Second Controller for split-screen", playing Warzone 2 with a friend on the same console isn't actually possible.
The only way to play with friends on Warzone 2 is via Online Play. On the bright side, Warzone 2 is free-to-play, and Warzone 2 is a cross-platform game, so playing with friends online is as easy as it's ever been.

Will Warzone 2 Ever Support Split-Screen?
As sad as it is, chances are that split-screen play will never be possible in Warzone 2. You couldn't play split-screen in the original Warzone, and Activision and Infinity Ward have done nothing to indicate that it'll be different this time around.
Warzone 2 is an extremely demanding game, especially for consoles, so split-screen is likely not technically feasible.

So, what's the deal with the "add a Second Controller for split-screen" pop-up if you can't play split-screen in Warzone 2? This relates to the fact that some MW2 game modes do support split-screen play with a single friend.
