Here's what Warzone's Mosquito Drone does & how to use it
Check out our breakdown of what the Mosquito Drone does in Warzone, where we cover how it works, how to unlock it, and how to use it in-game.
Highlight
- The Mosquito Drone is a killstreak that can be used to kill other players
- It's found in floor loot, or can be bought from a Buy Station
Aside from the massive amount of weapons, the Call of Duty series is also known for incorporating military technology into its games for players to use, and the Warzone battle royale is no different, with it featuring an experimental Mosquito Drone.
It can be a useful device to learn how to use when playing the game, giving you eyes in the sky, but what exact function does it serve?
What do Mosquito Drones do?
Mosquito Drones are automated aerial missiles that patrol a small area directly around you to detect enemies, before diving down on any opponents in direct sight and exploding on contact.
They can down an enemy easily when exploding next to them, and even wipe out a team of players if they're too close together.
How to unlock Mosquito Drones
The Mosquito Drone is a killstreak that's unlocked at rank 23. Once it's available, just equip it in your inventory, and it will become available in Warzone games.
How to use Mosquito Drones
To use this in a Warzone game, you'll need to have it equipped in your inventory before the game. Once in a game, it can be purchased from a Buy Station or found as ground loot, adding it to your in-game inventory.
Then you just need to select it with the D-Pad on controller or number keys on keyboard, and press the use key to fire it in the air.
Once you let go of the Mosquito Drone, it's all controlled automatically, with it bombing down on any enemies that enter its search area.
I recommend using these during firefights to get the most out of them, as usually, an opponent is too busy looking for you to look up. Plus, even if they do shoot the drone out of the sky, it gives you a chance to overwhelm them while they're occupied.
