Warzone's new Gulag is coming with Urzikstan in Season 1 and while players will only be in the arena for short periods of time, it's one of the most highly anticipated aspects of the MW3 integration.

Following feedback from the fans, Warzone's new Gulag will feature a simple three-lane design, harkening back to the days of Verdansk.

While the devs have gone back to basics with the blueprints of the new Gulag, there's now a chance of night vision and even an ascension tie-breaker involving a zipline.

So, let's dive into everything you need to know about the new Warzone Gulag coming with Urzikstan in Season 1.

New Gulag has a night-vision mode in Warzone

As showcased by CharlieINTEL, there's a "small chance" that you'll be placed into a night vision Gulag. As expected, your visibility will be significantly reduced, but the Gulag will follow its typical 1v1 format until someone falls or eventually captures the centre.

It's worth noting that being placed into a night vision Gulag is completely random, so you won't be able to choose or vote for it.

This will take the pressure of the 1v1 skirmish to the next level and will likely reward players who aren't afraid to play aggressively despite the limited information.

Ascension tie-breaker adds zipline to Gulag

New Warzone Gulag

If that wasn't enough, there's another variation of the Gulag that puts a spin on the typical formula. Instead of capturing the centre, there's a chance that an ascension tie-breaker is deployed.

This means a zipline will be placed in the middle of the arena and players can extract from the building using the zipline if the opportunity arises.

Successfully reaching the top will grant you the win, but the slow ascension may result in your death, so it's whether you think the risk is worth it.

That's everything you need to know about Warzone's new Gulag, including the ascension zipline and night vision. If you're going to jump into MW3, it may be worth familiarising yourself with the full MW3 weapon list, as they'll be getting added to Warzone as well.
