Do you need Xbox Live or PlayStation Plus to play Warzone?

Warzone is one of the most popular Battle Royale games around, but it has many fans wondering if you need Xbox Live or PlayStation Plus to play. The game itself is massive, and there would be nothing as heartbreaking as finally completing the download, logging on to play, and finding out you need a subscription to get going.

Warzone was first released in 2020 and has gone on to find huge success, later releasing Warzone 2 as well. If you have been sitting on the fence because you’re unsure if you need Xbox Live or PlayStation Plus to play, then we have all the answers you need down below.

Do you need Xbox Live to play Warzone?

The good news is, that you can play Warzone without an active Xbox Live subscription because Warzone is a free game. Any free game, even if it is an online one, allows you to play it without a subscription to Xbox Live. If you were to play Call of Duty, the base game, then you would need an active Xbox Live subscription.

Do you need PlayStation Plus to play Warzone?

The same as with Xbox, because this is a free game you do not need an active PlayStation Plus subscription to play the game. All free games on PlayStation, regardless of whether or not it is an online game, can be played without PlayStation Plus.
