Warzone Season 5: Last Stand is the final season of Call of Duty: Warzone. Going out in a blaze of glory, Warzone's closing season is chock-full of content, such as new POIs, items, game modes, events, guns, and more! You don't want to miss this farewell tour, so here's everything you need to know about Warzone Season 5: Last Stand ahead of the August 24 release date.

New POI

Warzone Last Stand will introduce a new Point of Interest (POI) to Caldera, known in-game as Peak. Caldera in Season Five is under the effects of volcanic activity, and nowhere is that more obvious than at Peak. Peak is a massive mountain with lava running down the sides, and occasionally, Lava Rocks will shoot out over the island. You won't want to be caught out in the open when that happens!

New gulag

What better way to finish out Warzone than with a brand-new Gulag inspired by the Showers Gulag featured on Verdansk? It might look a bit different aesthetically, but the layout will certainly induce nostalgia.

New weather and lighting

As Warzone sets off into the Sunset to be replaced by Warzone 2, both Caldera and Rebirth Island will see some appropriate weather and lightning changes to match the occasion. The storm on Caldera has cleared the way for sunlight to shine through the thick volcanic smoke, while Rebirth Island is home to a stunning sunset and warm colours to match.

New items

Doomsday Station

Every match on Caldera, a device called a Doomsday Station will spawn at one of many possible locations. Pay $10,000 to activate the device and you'll quickly be met with a swarm of helicopters and enemy soldiers keen on reclaiming the Doomsday Station. Stay near the device and protect it against waves of grunts to earn powerful items and a unique Watch cosmetic for your Operator.

Supply Box UAV

As you might be able to guess from the name, the Supply Box UAV is a new Killstreak that will temporarily mark unopened Supply Boxes on your Tac Map.

Personal Supply Box

The Personal Supply Box is an exceptionally rare type of Supply Crate that'll immediately grant you your Custom Loadout at no charge, plus XP boosts for your squadmates.

Rage Serum

The events unfolding on Caldera in Season 5: Last Stand have led to the creation of a new Field Upgrade known as Rage Serum. Injecting Rage Serum increases your close-range fighting prowess, including melee damage, lunge distance, and stun power while fighting with melee weapons or fists. However, Rage Serum users are extra vulnerable to stuns and flashes, and their built-up rage creates a lot of noise.

New modes and public event

For a limited time in Warzone Season 5: Last Stand, Caldera will host a new mode called Last Call. Last Call is inspired by Search and Destroy. You either defend Caldera from enemies plotting to plant explosives or set out to detonate the bombs yourself.

Throughout Last Call, deadly Lava Rocks will spew across the island courtesy of the volcano at Peak. Keep note of the Volcano Metre and the prevalence of smoke in the air to get an idea of when you may want to duck for cover.

Fans of limited-time modes (LTMs) will be happy to know that the midseason update will add yet another LTM called Resurgence Supreme. Resurgence Supreme takes place on Rebirth Island and consists of squads of four dropping in with top-tier weapons, with respawning enabled.

Heroes Vs. Villains seasonal event

Heroes vs. Villains is a community event where you pick a side and earn points for your faction by eliminating opponents, looting Supply Boxes, and collecting Hero or Villain Tokens. With your tokens, you can buy Faction Bundles at Buy Stations.

The winning factions’ unique Weapon Blueprint will be handed out to all players at the conclusion of the event. Also, participating players can earn other exclusive rewards such as:

  • Legendary “One vs. One” Calling Card
  • Heroes or Villains Weapon Charm
  • “Conflict Spike” Melee Weapon Blueprint
  • “Time Duality” Watch

New weapons

To help Warzone and Vanguard go out with a bang, five brand-new weapons will join the fray over the course of Season 5: Last Stand. At launch, try the EX1 prototype Energy Rifle and the lightweight RA 225 SMG with a juiced-up fire rate. Later in the launch window, look out for the Valois Revolver that works as both a regular pistol and a one-hit Melee weapon. Then, in the midseason update, the BP50 and Lienna 57 Assault Rifles will cap off Warzone's final season.

New operators

Continuing with the theme of Season 5: Last Stand, Warzone is getting four new Operators comprised of some of the Call of Duty series' most notorious antagonists. The Special Operations Task Force Tyrants include:

  • Raul Menendez (Launch)
  • Khaled Al-Asad (Launch)
  • Gabriel T. Rorke (In-Season)
  • He “Seraph” Zhen-Zhen (In-Season)

That's everything you have to look forward to when Warzone Season 5: Last Stand goes live on August 24. Enjoy Warzone's final days before it's gone for good!
