You're probably wondering "when is Split coming back to VALORANT"? VALORANT launched with four maps and has since added another four to the lineup, with an additional one set to come during January. To retain a competitive map pool though, Riot Games also remove maps during some updates when they fall out of favour with the player base. Split in particular, is now getting this treatment. So, if you're curious about when Split is coming back to VALORANT, we've got you covered.

When Is Split Coming Back To VALORANT?
Riot Games officially announced that Split will be returning to VALORANT on January 10, 2023, as part of the 6.0 patch. It was initially removed from the game back in June 2022, as the latest map Pearl was released, and while it was a popular decision at the time, many fans have been awaiting its return. The announcement was made in a blog post back on December 2, along with some other news concerning the current map pool.Â
When Split is added back to VALORANT, both Breeze and Bind will be removed from the Competitive and Unrated map pools, with no current date for when they will return. They'll still be available for Spike Rush and custom games, however, so you aren't fully locked out of experiencing the maps.Â
When Split returns, it will also look slightly different, as the blog post confirms it will contain "a few changes", which will likely improve the competitive viability and fix any of the complaints that caused it to be removed in the first place. They'll detail some of these closer to the January 10 date, so make sure to check the VALORANT socials in the meantime.Â
