The AK-47 is one of the best assault rifles you'll find in XDefiant thanks to its high damage, but its handling can hold it back - unless you know what attachments to make use of in your loadout.

Attachments

  • Muzzle: Muzzle Brake
  • Front Rail: Angled Grip
  • Optics: Reflex Sight
  • Rear Grip: Heavy Grip
  • Stock: Padded Stock

The AK-47's biggest weaknesses are its accuracy and mobility, as the weapon suffers from a big kick to compensate for its high damage per shot. My recommended loadout seeks to fix that by improving the overall handling.

To start with, the Muzzle Brake reduces horizontal recoil at the cost of a slightly reduced effective range.

The Stabilising Barrel gives you greater control by further reducing both the vertical and horizontal recoil. The Angled Grip acts similarly but also provides better stability when aiming down sights.

For the back of the weapon, both the Heavy Grip and Padded Stock are vital. The former gives you extra flinch resistance to ensure getting shot doesn't send your aim elsewhere, while the latter improves your recoil recovery and control when aiming down sights.

I left out a sight attachment as the AK-47 has one of the better iron sights, but you can equip one that suits you and your playstyle at the cost of some mobility. Additionally, a Fast Mag can also be a solid option if you want a quicker reload speed.

Equipment

  • Device: Frag Grenade
  • Secondary: 93R

This is where personal preference factors in a lot more. The Frag Grenade is an old reliable you can use to clear an area, finish off an enemy hiding from your final bullets, or get a multi-kill if you throw it in the right place. It also suits the aggressive playstyle that the above loadout is perfect for.

The 93R is also the best of the current secondary weapons, with its three-round burst dealing a lot of damage if you can land it on the target.
