Light machine guns bring a whole lot of lead to a firefight in XDefiant, making them powerful weapons to suppress enemies, defend objectives, and fill your opponents full of holes. If you're a particular fan of the M60, check out my recommended weapon loadout.

Attachments
- Muzzle: Muzzle Booster
- Barrel: Stabilising Barrel
- Front Rail: Superlight
- Optic: Reflex Sight
- Rear Grip: Grip Tape
- Stock: Lightweight Stock
The M60 is particularly good in situations where you're holding an area or an objective, so this build boosts those particular capabilities with some extra control and mobility.
The Muzzle Booster kicks things off with a small increase in the fire rate, and with so many bullets you won't need to worry about running out of them. This does come at the cost of slightly worse recoil, but we'll remedy that with other attachments.
The Stabilising Barrel gives you back some of that control with improved recoil, while the Superlight Front Rail gifts you better aim-down-sight (ADS) time and an increase in sprint speed to counter the heaviness.
The sights aren't the best on the M60, so I'd recommend the Reflex Sight for its balance, but you can go for something with a little more range if that suits you more.
Moving back to recoil control we have the Grip Tape at the rear to improve your ADS recoil recovery time, along with some better vertical control over the weapon.
Finally, the Stock of choice is the Lightweight Stock, which boosts overall movement speed as well as your pace when aiming down the sights.
If you think some of the recoil attachments here are overkill, you can swap out the Stabilising Barrel for a Heavy Barrel to get some extra damage.
Equipment
- Device: Frag Grenade
- Secondary: 93R
The Frag Grenade is a classic and reliable throwable that suits the strengths of the M60 well. Like the weapon, it gives you extra control over areas with the ability to flush enemies out or stop a push, and can weaken them for you to finish them off with a quick spray.
My go-to secondary would be the 93R, which is likely the best sidearm in the game. It has a fantastic fire rate despite being a burst weapon and does lots of damage if you can land a full burst on someone. Overall, it's the perfect gun to turn to when you don't have the time to reload.
