The MP7 has quickly emerged as the favourite SMG in XDefiant, with its fast fire rate and solid damage allowing for a run-and-gun playstyle. Even in its vanilla form, it's a fantastic weapon, but you can make it even better with the following selection of attachments.
Best MP7 weapon loadout
Attachments
- Muzzle: Light Suppressor
- Barrel: Chrome Lined
- Front Rail: Tactical Grip
- Magazine: Fast Mag
- Stock: Collapsed Stock
All the attachments here are in service of a fast-paced, aggressive playstyle where you stay mobile, get your kills quickly, and disappear before any enemies can get revenge for their fallen teammates.
The Light Suppressor Muzzle is vital for this, as it makes it harder for enemies to keep track of you on the minimap or listen out for your bullets, giving you an element of surprise.
For the Barrel attachment, you'll want Chrome Lined, which increases damage in the short and medium range. You'll rarely be fighting someone at long range with an SMG, so this just gives you even more firepower to get your kills much quicker.
The Tactical Grip reduces your recoil and recoil recovery time to make it easier to control when spraying. Should you lose all your bullets too, the Fast Mag comes in handy to ensure you can reload as quickly as possible and keep fighting.
The Collapsed Stock finishes things off with a very useful movement speed buff at the cost of a slightly worse bullet spread. However, if you manoeuvre around the map correctly and keep in close-range engagements, this nerf won't be too noticeable.
For some alternatives, if you're more of a hip fire fan, replace the Tactical Grip with the PEQ-15 for reduced hip fire bullet spread. This combos well with the Extended Mag so you can fire for longer and take it out larger groups that you sneak up on.
Equipment
- Device: Flash Grenade
- Secondary: 686 Magnum
Run and gun styles favour the Flash Grenade over other devices for a few reasons. Firstly, they provide a nice utility option for escaping if you're at risk of being overwhelmed. In similar situations where you want to be aggressive instead, it gives you the edge against groups and the chance to take them down before their blindness subsides.
Secondary options are always more down to personal preference, but I recommend giving the 686 Magnum a go for some extra range. While it only has six bullets, it doesn't have much bullet drop-off and deals the same damage up to 50 metres. This lets you drop enemies with two headshots or three body shots.
