Most players seem to favour other LMGs over the RPK-47 in XDefiant, but its fantastic range and mobility make it a solid weapon, especially with the right attachments to go along with the rest of your loadout.

Attachments

  • Muzzle: Muzzle Booster
  • Barrel: Heavy Barrel
  • Front Rail: Tactical Grip
  • Magazine: Quick Mag
  • Rear Grip: Grip Tape
  • Stock: Reinforced Stock

With its solid range and fire rate, you'll want to improve the recoil and time-to-shoot with your RPK to make the most of it.

The best way to increase the fire rate is to start with a Muzzle Booster, as it cancels out the negatives of the Heavy Barrel attachment. The Heavy Barrel is key for the damage boost, though, giving you more bang for your buck.

The Tactical Grip is the best choice for the Front Rail as it gives you a huge boost in recoil recovery time and the time it takes to aim down the sight with a small movement speed penalty.

The Quick Mag is a no-brainer for the faster reload speed and a slight boost in capacity, with zero drawbacks. It certainly helps with the clunky speed of reloading the RPK.

Next up is the Grip Tape attachment, which provides a further boost in recoil recovery to ensure you can make the most of your longer-range fights and extra vertical recoil control.

Finally, the Reinforced Stock provides aim stability and a reduction in flinching when aiming down sights. However, you'll be slightly slower when aiming and walking at the same time.

Equipment

  • Device: Frag Grenade
  • Secondary: 93R

A Frag Grenade is always a useful tool to have in your pocket and gives you extra options in many scenarios. Whether you need to clear an area, finish off a hiding enemy or stop a push - it's always a solid choice.

The 93R is also an easy choice for me, as it's the best secondary in the game right now. The surprising range, paired with the strong burst fire damage and fire rate make it easy to love and easy to use.
