XDefiant is made up of various factions from different Ubisoft IPs, all of which have unique roles, abilities, and playstyles. The GSK Faction is the latest to join the game, holding up the banner for the Rainbow Six Siege franchise.

Here's how to unlock the latest faction and begin using their powerful map-controlling abilities.

How to unlock the GSK Faction

There are three main ways to unlock the GSK Faction in XDefiant: completing challenges to earn the required XP, purchasing one of the packages with XCoins, or buying the GSK Starter Pack with real money.

All of these options come with pros and cons that you need to take into account, so I'll run through exactly what each one means.

Challenges

The free and long way involves activating the GSK Major Challenges and earning 700,000 XP. This will obviously take a little longer, but if you play regularly and consistently complete the challenges, it shouldn't be a slog to get through.

XCoins

If the grind isn't for you, you can unlock the GSK Faction with XCoins. There is a package that costs 1000 and gives you the Stark character, or you can shell out 2500 for all three at once: Kaptan, Stark, and Krieger.

Starter Pack

The final and most expensive option involves buying the GSK Starter Pack for £28.99/$34.99

This gives you all the characters in the faction, along with some exclusive skins, a premium Battle Pass, and 1000 XCoins.

The options here work for those with lots of time and no money, and those with little time and money to spend. I assume most of the new factions and characters going forward will have the same options, but we'll cover those as they release.
