How to use voice chat in XDefiant
To toggle voice chat in XDefiant during a match, you only need to head to your score menu and press the corresponding button at the bottom of the screen to enable or disable voice chat. In the case of the PlayStation I’m using, it’s the square button.
Doing this will either mute or activate voice chat for your entire party. However, you can also mute individuals by hovering over their names and selecting mute so you can’t hear them.
How to change voice chat settings in XDefiant
To change the voice chat settings in XDefiant, you need to head to the settings menu, scroll down to the ‘Audio & Voice Chat’ option and then adjust the settings to your liking, including volume control, enabling and disabling it, and whether you have it as a public or private setting.
This can be done right from the moment you enter the main menu of the game and can be switched around at any time, so you’re never locked into an option if you change your mind.
