There's a new type of Shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that requires you to find the crystal that activates it, and they are proving to be some of the most challenging puzzles in the game.

Thankfully we've got you covered with all of the steps down below, making sure to include all of the rewards you'll be entitled to as well. We've even got a handy map location for you too, just in case you were unsure where to find and start the tricky Shrine.

How to the complete Josiu Shrine

The first thing you'll want to do when you get to the Josiu Shrine is activate it by interacting with the front of the Shrine, as that will shine a green laser towards the glowing green rock that we need to find.

  • Follow the laser until you reach a curved rock floating just before the edge of an island, and that is the key to unlocking this puzzle.
  • You'll want to use the Ultrahand ability on this rock, which will in turn move its giant replica in front of you.
  • To start with, you will want to make sure it is tilted upwards and connected to the island opposite you where the laser is pointed. This is done by rotating the floating rock left twice, up twice, and then right twice.
  • Once you've done that, use your glider to fly over to the island underneath the island opposite, and then use the Ascend ability to hop up onto our desired island.
  • The glowing green rock will be very close, and you'll want to pick that up yourself or with Ultrahand and place it at the base of the giant floating rock. It is ideal to do this with Ultrahand, as you will want to make sure that the rock is on its side.

  • Next, glide over to the island on your right-hand side, and then fly over to the original island where the smaller floating rock awaits your control.
  • Rotate it down twice in quick succession, and the green glowing rock should roll all the way across and meet you on the other side.
  • Then, all you need to do is pick it up and take it to the Shrine to complete the puzzle and the North Necluda Sky Crystal quest.

Heading inside the Shrine will allow you to pick up a Large Zonai Charge from the chest, and of course a single Light of Blessing.

There should also be a metal chest hanging from the large floating rock in its final position that you will be able to cut down and open. Inside of this chest you will find an Old Map, which leads to a desirable unknown treasure in the Depths.

Where is the Josiu Shrine?

The Josiu Shrine can be found at the map coordinates 1756, -1207, 0924, which is just to the east of the Great Sky Island, and in the southeast of Central Hyrule.

The easiest way to reach the Shrine is by taking the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower, as this will place you just above the original island where the puzzle commences.
