The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is finally here, inviting players into the Kingdom of Hyrule once more to save the land and its people. This time around, you can let your creativity go wild due to the new abilities that let you combine objects to create weird constructs and unique weapons in the game

So, if you want to know how to create a fan from a Korok Frond in the game, check out how to make use of these new abilities bestowed on Link.

How to make a fan from a Korok Frond

To make a fan from a Korok Frond in Tears of the Kingdom, you will need two items: a Korok Frond itself, and a weapon to attach it to, though we recommend using a tree branch or a stick.

Combing both items will create a Korok Frond Guster, and we'll cover the exact process for making it below:

  • Equip a tree branch or stick to your main weapon slot.
  • Select the Korok Frond in the inventory, hold it, and then drop it on the floor.
  • Hold the L button and select the 'Fuse' ability.
  • Hover over the Korok Frond with the reticule, and press Y to confirm the fusion.

The Korok Frond and your chosen weapon will now have been combined, letting you use the Korok Frond Guster.

A Korok Frond Guster can be used as a fan when on boats, allowing you to gain speed in the chosen direction. It can also be used to create gusts of wind that cause smaller enemies to ragdoll, making it a great way of sending enemies off the edge of cliffs.

Where can you find a Korok Frond?

If you still need to find some Korok Fronds in TotK, they are a common material that can be found plentifully in green areas like Central Hyrule, or any of the forests across the game.

Great Hyrule Forest in the north of the map is a particularly good location, as it's dense and big, allowing you to find a tonne of Korok Fronds as you explore.
