What time does Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom release for digital copy owners? Tears of the Kingdom is easily one of the most anticipated games this year, and players are not likely to wait patiently for it. The release time is the same worldwide, meaning players in different regions will have different times when they can play the game. Here is everything you need to know about the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom release time.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom releases on the eShop at 12 AM on May 12, US Eastern Time. The launch is simultaneous around the world, meaning while the launch is at midnight on release day for folks on the eastern American seaboard, the rest of the world will get the game at different local times.

For example, the game will be available at 9 PM PT on May 11, and 5 AM GMT on May 12. The further east you go in the world, the later in the day on May 12 the game will become available. Fans in Nintendo's home country of Japan will not be able to play Tears of the Kingdom until 1 PM on Friday, a good incentive to head to a store and buy a physical copy instead.

Wherever you happen to be in the world, you probably have an idea of how your local time stacks up to other time zones, particularly when it comes to release dates. Still, it can be really confusing to figure out exactly when a game will become available in your part of the world.

To find out where your local time zone falls in comparison to the release time, check out this time zone calculator. The time has already been inputted, but if that doesn't work you just need to compare your own time zone to 9 PM Pacific Time on May 11 to find out.

That is it for the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom release time. For more on the game, check out our Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Amiibo guide.
