How to get the Shrine Detector in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Check out our guide on getting the Shrine Detector in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, as it allows you to track down Shrines across Hyrule much more easily.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a massive game with a whole lot to uncover, but with such a huge world to explore that's densely packed with things to find, it can be difficult to track down places like Shrines.
Luckily, the game gives you a way of making this a trivial matter, so if you need to know how to get your hands on the Shrine Detector in the game, we've got you covered.
How do you get the Shrine Detector?
To get the Shrine Detector in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you will need to visit Robbie at his Hateno Village laboratory and speak to him.
However, before Robbie even moves to his laboratory, you will need to meet some specific criteria.
To start the process of getting the Tears of the Kingdom Shrine Detector, perform the following steps:
- Complete the quest 'Camera Work in the Depths', which you can pick up from Josha in Lookout Landing.
- Complete one part of the 'Regional Phenomena' quest (any of the four sections will do).
- Complete the 'A Mystery of the Depths' quest by speaking to Josha again in Lookout Landing.
Once all the above requirements have been met, you can return to Lookout Landing and speak to Robbie again.
Interacting with Robbie will cause him to move to his laboratory in Hateno Village, which is located in the southeast of East Necluda (coordinates 3776, -2126, 0260).
Once he's moved there, speaking to Robbie again will cause him to gift you the Tears of the Kingdom Shrine Detector, and he'll ask you to use it to find a nearby Shrine in a cave.
