Getting the correct answer every day is no easy feat, so there’s no shame in looking it up if you’re truly stuck. We’ve provided the answer below, so you don’t have to worry about ruining your crucial streak.

Today’s answer for Saturday, November 23rd, 2024 is Aretha Franklin.

We’ll be back again tomorrow with the answer to the next Spotle brainteaser.

If you don’t already know, here’s how to play Spotle

Spotle is a musical guessing game that tasks players with guessing an artist within Spotify’s top 1,000 most streamed artists list.

The goal is to find the correct answer by entering different artists and using the process of elimination to guess the right one. The fewer guesses it takes you to find the correct artist, the higher your Spotle score!

You’ll be able to the right artist by analysing a grid of colour-coded boxes presented after each guess. Each of these boxes will tell you if your last guess is getting closer to the actual answer.

There are five attributes that Spotle will tell you about when you enter an answer:

  • Debut Album Year: The year that the artist released their first album.
  • Group Size: The number of people in the artist’s group.
  • Listener Rank: The artists' ranking on Spotify, gauged via total streams.
  • Gender: The gender of the artist.
  • Genre: The genre of music that the artist is most well-known for.
  • Nationality: The nationality of the artist.

When you enter an artist's name into the answer box, each of these attributes will be graded. If the box appears green, that means the correct answer shares the same attribute as the artist you just entered. If the box appears yellow, that means that your previous answer was close to the correct answer’s attribute.

The only other thing to consider with these boxes are arrows. A downward-facing arrow means that the answer’s number is lower. Vice versa, an upward arrow means that the answer attribute is higher.

For example, when the answer to Spotle was Fleetwood Mac, I started off my game by entering Arctic Monkeys. Fleetwood Mac debuted their first album in 1968, whereas Arctic Monkeys debuted theirs in 2006. As such, a downwards-facing arrow appeared in the Debut Album box.

However, the Listener Rank of Arctic Monkeys and Fleetwood Mac are quite close, so that box appeared yellow. No other attributes between the two bands were similar or shared, so they remained grey.

When does the next game of Spotle start?

A timer showing the countdown to the next Spotl game

Judging from the timer that appears upon completing a game of Spotle, a new round of the game will appear at 12 AM every single day. This appears to be adjusted for whichever time zone you’re located in, so no matter where you are, you’ll always have a new game of Spotle to play every day at midnight.

That’s everything you need to know about Spotle, including a hint, the answer for today, how to play the game properly, and when the next game will start. For more daily online game guides, be sure to check out our homepage.
