Moogle Medals are a new currency in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, but it can be tricky to figure out how to use them or where to find more in the game.

There's so much to find in the vast open world, from crafting materials to Materia. One such treasure is Moogle Medals, as you can exchange them for valuable rewards that would otherwise be difficult to get your hands on - you just need to know what to do and where to head.

Where to find Moogle Medals

Moogle Medals unfortunately aren't found in one specific location, but instead are located in breakable boxes found all throughout Gaia. As far as I can tell the items found within these breakable boxes are fixed, so it's not like it's left down to random chance.

Typically I found the most success in boxes atop the various Towers that you activate for Chadley, although not every tower has these boxes situated within. Your best bet is to smash up any that you find on your travels, and hope that you've got enough to spend on your next visit.

Moogle Medals are used after completing Moogle Emporium tasks marked as 'Moogle Intel' on your map. They function as a tradable item for various rewards, similar to how Golden Plumes work in exchange for Chocobo Gear.

You can find these Mogstools by looking for giant red mushroom-shaped buildings in the open world or activating various towers that reveal the aforementioned Moogle Intel locations on your map.

Before you can use your Moogle Medals though you must complete each Emporium's 'task', which requires you to round up five of the playful mooglets found within. This becomes increasingly difficult with each subsequent location you complete, but the rewards are also expanded every time you complete a new Moogle Intel location.

Once you've completed the Moogle Intel, there should then be a Moogle Merchant waiting outside of the Mogstool ready to trade with you. Interact with them to bring up the shopping menu and use your available medals to obtain an item.

The rewards can range from weapon manuscripts, powerful gear, and even some of the best Materia - so it's definitely worth the effort to round up as many Moogle Medals as you can find.
