Fortnite has had some trouble with some of its cosmetics in the past.

In the wake of the Astroworld tragedy, Epic Games made the decision to pull some of its many Travis Scott cosmetics from the game's item store - and now a new one is set to arise.

We've all seen it by now - at this year's Academy Awards, Will Smith took to the stage to absolutely deck Chris Rock after he made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith's shaved head, a result of her ongoing battle with alopecia. The moment made for a sour addition to the Oscars and has made the ceremony memorable for all the wrong reasons.

But Fortnite players are now asking for Smith to make his return to the game.

Fortnite Fans Want Will Smith Back In The Game

After the massive stir caused by Will Smith's bust-up with Chris Rock, fans are demanding for the actor's likeness to return to the item shop, because we've clearly all got our priorities in order.

Fans are taking to the internet to request that the Mike Lowrey skin, the cosmetic that made an appearance in a limited crossover with Bad Boys For Life, makes its grand return to the game in the wake of the recent controversy.

The request has been dunked on pretty hard for the most part, with one user getting ratioed into oblivion for suggesting that the skin will have become incredibly rare if the likely event of the skin not getting restocked comes to be true.

Twitter Calls For The Return Of Will Smith's Fortnite Skin

Players have taken to Twitter in order to beg for the bold return of Mike Lowrey in Fortnite, hoping that the huge dramatics of the Academy Awards will bring on a boom in its popularity (though likely to the disdain of Will Smith himself who would probably wish we all forgot what has become one of YouTube's biggest ever hits).

The skin's return would be controversial, but immensely profitable for Epic Games if they chose to bring it back. Will Smith has a bit of a new reputation, and given his fresh penchant for violence, he'd suit a return nicely.
