Although the end of the prologue can be a bit vague on whether your Blade Twin is alive in Rise of the Ronin, the answer may surprise you.

Despite not learning what happened to your sibling until later in the game, the reveal comes in a big way.

SPOILER WARNING: The rest of this guide will feature spoilers for Rise of the Ronin's main story. I'd recommend leaving if you want to experience the game how it was intended.

Is your Blade Twin alive?

Yes, your Rise of the Ronin Blade Twin is alive and becomes a vital part of the story within the game.

They'll reveal themselves during the mission called ‘The Plot to Assassinate Harris’, around six to nine hours into the main story, depending on how much time you spend on open-world side content.

Stopping you from assassinating Harris and stopping negotiations for the Treaty of Amity and Commerce, your beloved sibling is not only alive but is also working as a bodyguard for the American Consul.

Despite having their left arm sliced off by the Blue Demon, your former companion has become a formidable foe with the artificial/steam punk-like replacement, known as the ‘demon claw’.

Following a tough boss fight, your Blade Twin escapes without revealing the full reason for their betrayal - only saying, ‘You’ll work it out eventually', before walking off into the night.

What happens to your Blade Twin after that, I won't spoil it for now, but you'll definitely want to keep playing to find out.
